Our Program
Your commitment begins with a day of testing and education one week prior to surgery. The surgery itself requires an approximate three-day hospital stay during which time you will receive monitoring by our treatment team.
A comprehensive post-surgical follow-up program helps you stay on course in your efforts, including a Bariatric education manual and monthly support groups to provide the support you need throughout your first year.
Our Treatment Team
Our medical director leads the multi-disciplinary team that will guide and support your long-term weight loss efforts. They will stay in close communication with your primary doctor throughout your program.
Other physicians involved in your care and treatment plan may include your primary care physician and/or medical specialist. Other members of our team include a clinical social worker, dietitian, respiratory therapist, physical therapist and registered nurse. Our nurse will stay in communication with you throughout your hospital stay to monitor your comfort and satisfaction.
Counseling Services
We will review with you the benefits and potential risks of your surgery before you make your decision to undergo the procedure. A psychological evaluation with our clinical social worker will help you assess whether you are ready for the dramatic changes that will take place as a result of the surgery.
The evaluation will provide you and your surgeons with information that may help you achieve and maintain a healthier body weight following surgery. Our nurse coordinator is also available to provide support and education following surgery, and we recommend a yearly follow-up once your weight loss has stabilized.
